Hello -- I have inherited an older sewing machine (from my grandmother)
that is built into a table. For space reasons, I would like to remove
the machine from the table and place the machine into a plastic
storage/carrying case. I know that this is possible, because my mother
did this with her integrated table machine back in the early 80s. Hers
is in a plastic case with a removable top. The sewing machine attached
to a metal plate that is hinged to the bottom of the case. (I hope
that made sense.) I must be looking for the wrong thing (if they even
make those cases any more) since I can't seem to find it on google
anywhere. I was hoping that someone here might know what I am talking
about and be able to suggest a resource.

Thanks so much!
Jennifer.

(P.S. I am sorry if this thread has already come up; I couldn't find
anything searching.)

The thing is that when these sewing machines were made, they came in
several different versions, both built into tables and 'portable' or
'table top' versions in carrying cases, and what you need to get is the
carrying case for the model and make you have. They may no longer be
available. Contact the manufacturer.
