Singer machine 6252, also labeled as "Cocktail". Manual comes with
it, I didn't have much time to browse through it yet. Odd thing is
that the foot controller seems to run on air?
I bought the thing because I'm a sucker for sewing machines, but also
because it looks virtually brand new. If any one know anything about
it (Ron, are you around!?) I'd love the feedback, good, bad and ugly.
Thanks.

Actually the air control is one of the reasons I never bonded with my
Elna 500. The tubing rotted within a couple of years, my husband
replaced it with black tubing from the automotive department after
replacing it with the 'right one' a few times. The thing that finally
killed it for good was the part of the pneumonic peddle device that
is attatched to the electronic board inside the machine. The only way
to repair it is to replace the circuit board...I am trying to find out
how much a new one will cost...so I can at least keep this machine as
a backup.
I am sure that by now the design of the air control has improved
imensly...my machine is 24 or 25 yrs old.
marky
The side pannel is no longer available and not repairable with a bad
bladder.
