Well, I took the old covers off my sleeve board today for the purposes
of making new covers to replace the teflon ones recently PSA'd as
"poisonous", and the particle board it was made of just pretty much
disintegrated all over the place. I thought it was made of wood! I
never really paid attention to it before; I've had it since high school
as I recall.
So, I'm looking to get a new one. Any recommendations or advice would
be appreciated. Yes, I know..... no particle board and no teflon!

This one looks exactly like the one I've been using for 40+ years:

But, if you're handy with carpenter's tools, you can probably
construct one, then make a cover from 100% cotton.

Thank you so much Beverly! I've been looking for the last 1.5 hours.
Numerous hits on the June Tailor board but most then say it is
"unavailable" and that makes me wonder if there is something wrong with
the design. It's the one with a single C-clamp at the far end. It
looks kinda bendy. Anyone have that board?
The one from Target is made of press/particle board (so many are!) The
one from Hancock is like the one I have that just disintegrated....
particle board again. (I checked with Hancock.) I could not find a
single one at Nancy's--- maybe they are sold out. So I guess my choices
are the one from ATS (above) or this one from Manhattan Wardrobe.
There's a good pic of the June Tailor one underneath it:

I hate the thought of paying over $40 for a sleeve board but I am
reluctant to ask my husband to make me one since he is so busy with work
and in his garden now that spring is here. And speaking of spring, it's
90 degrees here right smack dab in the middle of the US today. We don't
usually get weather like this until the end of June or July. Scary!

This is the one I have - from Nancy's Notions:
https://www.nancysnotions.com/NNVia/viaImagePageTacony.jsp?row=1&pgName=viaListProducts.jsp&searchText=DSB2&modifer=DSB2&reqTitle=TITLE_VIAUSERDOCLIST&stackTitle=Pressing%20Helpers&newWindow=Y
I like it.
Note that it seems the link opens up to Nancy's main page for some reason.
Click on "Irons & Presses", then "Boards and Accessories" (twice).
