I'm *supposed* to be sewing...

A few weeks back my washer died, and it's been piling up. The new one
was delivered yesterday.

So far I've done:

1 boil wash - towels
2 colureds washes
1 wool wash
A dark coloured load is in now...

Still to go:
5 more towel boil washes...
4 more dark coloured loads
1 more wool load
1 load of just brown stuff!
1 load of red & pink things!
1 hot wash of bedding

Plus:
The sofa and chair throws from the living room
The arm caps and cushion covers from the sofa
The two blue quilts and James's star quilt...
James's orange star cushion cover and the red quilt...

Destruct testing!

I'm trying to make two shirts and get the jackets and trousers for the
re-enactment wedding ready for fitting tomorrow, and I'm out later this
afternoon and moth of the evening...

<a lot!>

Reminds me of the first time I had an automatic machine - instead of washing
by hand and we had two toddlers and a baby and Spouse worked in a foundry
yet had to wear white shirts ....

(remember the days of foundries?)

Everything in the house was washed. And watched.

It's never happened since :-)

Enjoy!

Mary

Still have one a few miles away :) DH dropped off a set of patterns
earlier this week and the castings will be back with us soon for further
machining.

LEW Casting in Rochdale - they used to be at Lodge Foundry in Wardle but
changed name and moved a few years ago. They do have a website
http://www.lew.co.uk/ but none of the links go anywhere!
