If it makes you feel any better, we have had several hundred earthquakes
here in the past two days. Most were so small that we didn't notice,
but quite a few have been strong enough to be noticed, and tonight we
had one that knocked stuff off shelves and spooked the kitties (and me.)
DH is sleeping through it all. Tonight. He did share the one earlier
this evening. I am getting so tired of shaking.

There have been shakes since February 28, lots and lots - maybe 800 or
so by now. My nerves are shot! LOL!

After a run of luck like that, you should be in for some good luck for a few
years. Crossing my fingers for you.......

I've had cats named Aldous Huxley, George Bernard Shaw, and Bertrand
Russell. Unfortunately, Bert turned out to be retarded, so we changed
his name to Bert Parks. Then there was Floyd. Sigmund Floyd. He
wasn't pink.

Cats, like children, should be named with something to live up to. The
self-fulfilling prophecy and all that.

I certainly do.

I currently have a dog called Bertrand Russell Jack Russell. His brother
was named Ernie Dingo Jack Russell. Ernie Dingo is an Australian Aboriginal
Actor who is drop dead gorgeous. Everyone used to assume that Bert and
Ernie got their names from the Muppets. Ernie got bitten by a snake and was
dead within about 20 minutes.

But how do you call them? I can't imagine standing on the lawn and calling
"George Bernard Shaw, George Bernard Shaw" on the top of my lungs.

Unfortunately, Bert turned out to be retarded, so we changed

Pity. A Pink Puss sunds rather fetching.

Our animals have always gone without names till their character emerges and
only then have they been named. Seems we do it in the reverse :-))

Will try that when I can switch servers.
