I've been looking online for some stitch witchery which is not a narrow
tape. I want to use it to fuse appliques to fabric before sewing so it
needs to be in sheets or by-the-yard. It does not have to be brand
name Stitch Witchery, I just put that because it's what I had on hand,
but is used up. The only stuff I was able to find was a 40-yard bolt
(I don't need a whole bolt), or Lite Steam-A-Seam which was in sheets
but is for sheers. I don't know if that would be heavy enough to fuse
ultrasuede to fabrics. Any ideas?

I think the pellon brand is called Wonder Under and I can buy it by the
yard ..........it is plenty to stick down an applique, as long as you
are embroidering or satin stitching the edges........

Cheryl, go to www.clotilde.com and put in a search for 'Floriani's
Appli-Kay Wonder® Fusible Webbing'
under the title is the following explanation: Turn embroidery designs into
appliqués with this easy-to-use fusible web. And because this webbing has a
pressure sensitive side, you take the guesswork out of where to place your
patches. Just position the appliqué as many times as you need and then press
in to place for a permanent bond. Use it to create beautiful traditional
appliqué for quilts, home dec. and garments. 3 yds.

It comes in two roll sizes neither of which is a huge amount.

Hope this helps,
