Now I've got so many good ideas that I almost wish I had two t-shirts
to work with. LOL

I dunno -- I think that any "cut it out and sew it on another shirt of
the same color" will look like ... well, like it's been cut out and
resewn on another shirt!

How about if you did that, but put a fabric or bias "frame" around the
cutout in a contrasting color -- would then look like you meant to do
it that way.
