You will need:

FQ's of Really Ugly Print fabric...
insulated batting like Insul-Bright
Some spongeable fabric for lining...

Lunchbag pattern: http://sewing.about.com/library/weekly/aa072100a.htm

Scale up the pattern so that the bag is 6 feet tall when closed... Make
up in Ugly fabric.

Put bait out for troll (that annoying little girl with the whiney voice
from down the road will do fine): lie in wait with latrge mallet. When
troll tries to eat girl, bop it over the head with the mallet and pop it
in the lunchbag.

You will have done several Good Deeds in one:

Used up some really ugly fabric that would otherwise have ended up in
landfill...
Rid the neighbourhood of a troll.
Scared the pants off that annoying little girl and taught her not to
whine unless things are REALLY BAD.
Caught yourself a free lunch!

Can you tell I'm a leeeetle cranky today?

We love you anyway, Kate. Is the fibro bothering you again? May you soon
feel better!

Thank you.

Fibro is driving me dotty, I have three friends I'm seriously worried
about, Alan's degenerating disk is giving him mega gype, and I have
work, and little energy to do it. I feel like that whiney little
girl... :(

It isn't whining if there is a genuine basis for complaint.
I hope you feel better soon.
