Hi

I am looking for a knitting pattern of Thomas the tank engine,I usually knit
the jumper then stitch on the pattern (swiss stitch). I did have a pattern
but I must of loaned it and as per usual it wasnt returned it was put out by
the English Womans weekly in about 1985; I have posted on the needlework
site as well.
Thanks
Sandra

Dear Sandra,

If you have a picture of Thomas Tank, you can make your own graph.
There is a special graph paper available that can be used to graph. It
has more rows per inch lengthwise, as is the case in gauging knitting.
Just place it over the picture, and draw the lines, then assign colors.
Yarn shops should have this paper.

You can create your own custom graph paper using
http://www.tata-tatao.to/knit/matrix/e-index.html

Knit a swatch (or the back of the sweater) and plug the gauge into the
boxes.

Thomas patterns come up on ebay.co.uk if you'd rather buy one.
