My sewing machine has two vertical spool pins and when I thread a twin
needle I thread the left needle with the left spool and the right
needle with the right spool. My sewing machine manual doesn't really
say anything about threading the needles and just wondered if it
matters. It just seemed logical to me - left needle with left thread,
etc. Any pointers??

Seems logical to me, too, although I don't remember seeing it in print.
My manual does say to pass the thread for the left needle on the the
left side of the tension disc, and for the right needle, to the right
side of the disc.

Hmmmm, I'll have pay attention next time I thread it for the twin
needles. Thanks! One thing I certainly need is a stretch twin needle.

I do that too, as it makes sense. I never really thought about it much,
I just do it. :)

Doreen, this makes perfect sense. Although just threading both threads
worked fine for me yesterday. There was one brain cell shouting
something about skipping the final point in the thread path for one of
the two threads, so I did that. It was a jeans needle and I was hemming
velour pants for my daughter.

Liz (I got lucky, I guess)
