I decided to sew something fun for me! But while spending a
goodly amount of time straightening and tidying the sewing
room, I came across a navy flannel king-size top sheet DD
asked me to repair a couple of weeks ago. The hem had come
undone for about 18" along one side. So I threaded up the
machine, and fixed the 18", but realized that eventually the
entire hem would have come undone. Chain Stitch, bah!!! So
I just continued on around the entire sheet. Pressed the
top hem and folded it nicely.
Then I threaded the coverstitch machine and hemmed up the
formerly-3/4" sleeves on a knit RTW top I bought last
spring. It'll be just right for this year. ;-)
Maybe tomorrow I'll get to that something fun for me....

Well, yes it was, but hardly the jewel tone silk shantung
jacket I'd *like* to have made. ;-} Now if I can just find
that perfect fabric I have seen in my mind's eye....
