Dear faithful Benina seems to have had a nervous breakdown and no matter
what stitch length I put her on from 0 to 5 I don't have any stitch length
at all. The twist stick to change length is changing position and I can lift
to the top to put it in reverse, there doesn't seem to be anything jamming
it up!!
Luckily I am going into the "big" town tomorrow so will take her for a ride
to the machine service man , but in the meantime I would be grateful if
anyone has any sugestions

Did you inadvertently hit the drop feed button?
Clean out the lint and stuff under the needle plate?

I did all that but no joy.
However I took it to my service engineer in Agen yesterday and he cleaned
out the deep inside bits, including behind the electronics and it will now
straight stitch fine and feeds through. He has discoverd another problem
which is that the top thread breaks when zig zaging , he suspects a damaged
bobbin race hook and hook back piece, the other half of the bobbin holder
that is scewed to the machine( sorry not very good at the technical names).
So I have her home for the moment and am waiting a phone call when the parts
come in to have that bit sorted
Sewing slowly and gently for the moment
