It's verrrrrry ugh today! The heating is off, the front door is open,
and we have had flurries of light snow. Outside temps have not been
above freezing all day, and at quarter to four here now, it's starting
to get dark...

A nice new BIG radiator is going into the new conservatory: we have
three plumbers plumbing away madly, cheerfully, and well watered with
coffee and orange juice to keep them going! We had to empty the
cupboard under the sink in the kitchen so they could put a replacement
for a gate valve in and plumb in the washing machine, the sink, and the
water softener out in the new room.

The cupboards are mostly fitted: all sorts of odd doors, but new ones
will go on in the new year. Floor went down last weekend, and then some
pipes, and then the cupboards and a couple of acres of work surface!
Well, best part of 3 metres of top and a breakfast bar!

The living room floor also got flattened! Yay! No more holes in the
carpet!

But today we have has intermittent snow and water! Pick yer moment to
use the po, as you may not be able to flush it or wash hands after.

So this morning I retreated to the sewing room and finished the
customer's first kimono, but I can't do the other one as the temperature
has dropped up there and my fingers are freezing! BUT!! This week I
*did* manage two afternoons of sewing with the kids at school, and made
a dozen more Christmas stockings! I *should* be all clear for the
bazaar tomorrow, but will probably be getting all the stuff down out of
the loft at midnight! Goodness knows what I'll be cooking for dinner...
Haven't had time to make a shopping list or send DH to shop this week!
I'm thinking of cutting out a few more stockings and taking a
hand-crank up to the village and sewing a few more during the day! :)

By tonight we *should* have the washing machine back on line! It'll be
plumbed, and we can run it with a cable from the house. Having the door
open between the new room and the house shouldn't be a problem with the
BIIIIIG radiator we have had fitted!

The builders, the carpenter and the plumbers and electrician already say
it's better than some folk's kitchen! :)

There will be pix, don't worry.

Sending warm thoughts. Virtual hot tea. Perhaps a bit of elderberry
brandy to go with. It will all be worth it, but that doesn't warm the
fingers now.

Neither did the BIIIG radiator! :( It was faulty and leaked, so has to
be changed. The plumber will try to get a replacement for Tuesday. he
and his lads were very apologetic, but it was no fault of their's.

Yes, it *will* be worth it, and should all be done bar the painting of
the walls and the new doors by the end of the coming week!
