Right now I'm miserable. Sarah Viking is in the hospital. I should get
her back this week. It was a major tension problem and she did need some
fine tunning that I couldn't do myself. When she comes home I'll make
the Lazy Girl city tote and then start my major project for the summer.
One of my DD's is a scout leader and her oldest is in her troop. They
have planned a project for the troop that will provide hats for children
with cancer. I told them I will make at least 6 for them. I have Wild
Things from Wild ginger so I will be doing some baseball hats and maybe
newsboy hats as well.I plan on using as many Jo Ann coupons as I get
over the summer to by fun prints for the hats.
I asked my DD to measure her girls heads so that I have a starting
point. I promised the DGDs a hat for each of them so that I can practice
getting really nice ones.

Oh, Juno, that sounds like so much fun! First, the bag and then hats for
DGDs and some for cancer patients, which will be appreciated.
I'm re-arranging my sewing stash and if I find something cute that you might
use, I'll be glad to send it along, if you wish.
I also have some sun hats, bonnets, cut out for the 2 younger DGDs and
placemats for the newly wed, DGD to finish ASAP.

Than you very much. I really would appreciate the fabric. I really want
to make as many as I can. There is a children's cancer unit at Albany
Medical Center. That where the hats will be going.
My heart goes out to these little kids. They go through so much and are
so brave.
Have fun with your projects

Only one sewing machine in the house? You really need a Featherweight
or Singer 301 tucked away in the closet for these events. ;-) Or some
other lovely vintage machine that keeps on stitching in good times and
bad.
