Yesterday I finished the new navy blue linen/rayon blend
slacks, and tried them on to double check the hem length.
Well! I made these from a pattern I used last summer, so I
"knew" the pattern fit just right, and didn't need any
alternations. Right? Nope! I completely forgot, that after
making a couple of pair of slacks from woven fabric, which
fit perfectly, I altered the pattern to make some slacks
from a stretch twill. Sadly, the new slacks are just

and make another pair for the trip. I so wanted to have the
pants and jacket, though. :-(

Motivation to lose a few of those extra pounds. ;-}

I'm proud of you for only saying one very bad word. I would have used more
than that. ;)

Bummer about the pants. But having a pair of "skinny pants" in the closet
isn't an all bad thing. ;)

Yeah, just one! Imagine! I think I would have aired my 'bad' vocabulary in
German, English and perhaps even French. ;-) She's so well-behaved, our
Beverly. <pats on back>

Now, I can't agree with you on that one. My whole wardrobe used to be
clogged by skinny things I hoped to diet back into one day, which never
really happened. So I swore to myself that I'd never do that again and am
much happier since. I actually buy my stuff a tiny bit oversized so that I
don't look 'grown out of' things (I hate that, it makes you look even fatter
than you actually are, but that's another story). No 'guilty mind' garments
lurking in the wardrobe now and I can be sure that whatever I take out of it
will fit me, so there's no unpleasant surprises if I dress in a hurry. ;-)
But that is just me, for other folks diets seem to work very well. <SIGH>
;-)

I've never found a diet that worked for me. I have taken to eating less
at meals, but still eat my goodies. That keeps me fairly stable, but far
from thinner. Notice I do not say thin. The only time I was ever thin in
my life was after been rather ill for 6 weeks, when I was in my 20's. You
know what my doctor told me. Fatten up a little, you're too thin. Never
heard that since.

LOL! Thank you, you made my day. (Don't know why I've got such a bad one
today, it just happens once in a while, doesn't it?)
