I DON'T BELIEEEEEEEVE IT!!!

GRRR!!! SNARL... grumpgrumpgrump...

I'm trying to sew a purple satin border onto a white satin kimono. It
keeps sliding... Of course, as I'm doing this on the serger, after the
first pass there is no seam allowance. I have finally got it on after
three goes!

The thread broke once: just one of those moments when the gremlins
unthreaded the right needle, you know...

Then the left needle fell out of the machine! ARGH!!! My Victor
Meldrew moment!

I have re-threaded and gone away for a coffee.

The plasterers are here, and Sugar Puff gave them an outraged STARE when
she found them in HER new conservatory, and went off up the garden again
in a huff. I managed to catch her and she's now fussing for cuddles.

It sounds like you and Sugar Puff both need cuddles! Maybe earplugs and
a nice chocolate truffle for you, too.

Next time maybe try placing a piece of tissue or tearaway stablilizer
between fabrics. I'm working on silk and chiffon so know how you feel.

I did - I think it needed glue! :( But fine flat headed quilting pins
slide under the presser foot of the serger nicely! Just don't hit one
with the cutting blades or needles...
