A good couple of days sewing no matter how small the project is still a
good couple of days sewing. Made a pair of curtains for the bedroom that
was in dire need. it needs more than new white curtains but that's a
start. I cut them a little short and rather than let that throw me I cut
a piece of fabric 2x the depth I needed and serged that on with a
flatlock stitch in a pretty blue. I had already done the inside edges
with a serged picot stitch in the same color. Worked well because I
wanted some kind of decorative stitch at the hem line.
I made a pair of pillows for a DGS today to give him tomorrow for his
bedroom. Very sport oriented. I also delivered the rest of the light
panels that DS wanted over the weekend.
n top of all that my ortho doc discharged me, discontinued my therapy
and told me he thought I could do the rest on my own. So I'm ready to
take on the world now and maybe make a pair of pants, I've been wanting
forever, in a dark green linen/rayon I have in the stash.

Juno, what wonderful news that your doc says you're "done". ;-)
The curtains sound really nice, and DGS owes you some extra hugs
for the sports themed ones.

Way to go, Juno! Your projects sound great, but the best news is
getting discharged by the doctor.

Thanks to both Doreen and Beverly. The discharge was a great incentive
to me. I feel like I've conquered Mt. Everest.
Beverly, I never worry about getting extra hugs from the DGS I made the
pillows for. He's such a lovable and loving child. He gives lots of hugs
and lots of I love yous to Poppa and me. He's also a snuggler.

That's wonderful! My DGS is 16-going-on-17, and I *still* get a
huge hug each time we're together, and another with an "I love
you, Grandma" when we part. 'S Wonderful!

Beverly, making headway on *marking* the kilt pleats, and about
to start the actual stitching....
