I've been AWOL for a while - I moved in early September, and with the
new setup I planned to make the space in the bedroom under my loft bed
into my new studio space. But it took longer than expected to get the
bed set back up - I needed to finagle an extra set of hands eventually.
Then I spent more than a week down with acute bronchitis (got chest
X--rays and everything!) and am only today starting to feel almost well
again.

But the space is arranged and the machines and the notions are unpacked.
The Big Box O'Fabrics needs to be re-divided into the appropriate tubs
and shelved, and the machines need to be cleaned and re-threaded, but I
should be sewing again by Sunday.

First projects are some backed-up mending, alteration/reconstruction of
a leather corset, and a couple of things for a convention in
mid-November. I'm to be the MC at the Windycon Masquerade, so of COURSE
I need all new things to wear....

What an ordeal! Good that you've got things to look forward to!

Dear Moo-er,
Bronchitis can be scary, DH gets it almost any time he is exposed to
anything.
Good to hear you are organized for sewing again. Enjoy making yourself
an outfit for the MC gig!

I get it 2-4 times a year, usually requiring "A course of Prednisone and
an antibiotic from Column B". Also had a bad reaction to a new
antibiotic early on which didn't help matters, but I'm on 2 new daily
inhalers so well see if they help.

Do the 'roids put the fat on you like they do on me?? I am getting to
be positively gross these days, and need to make myself an entire winter
wardrobe as all last year's clothes fit me like the paper on the wall -
not pretty on a middle age grandma.
