Hi,

I bought a babylock imagine wave secondhand recently. It worked fine
when I bought it but I got it serviced immediately just in case it
needed some oil and a clean. I have not used it much over the summer
but three times out of the 6 or 7 times that I have used it the
machine has failed to start at all. When I press the pedal the needles
move slightly and then stop, which I think may be the safety switch
cutting out. Also since the service the machine rattles when I sew
quickly and it did not before the service. The work on the service had
a six month warranty but I am reluctant to take the machine back in
case something worse happens to it. Does anybody have any idea of what
may be causing this problem? Also I would really value recommendations
of good places for a babylock service in the Cambridgeshire area in
the UK.

Thanks.

Make sure the looper cover door is closed all the way. It has an interlock
safety switch

Hi,

Thanks for answering. Could I just check with you exactly which door
that is?
Is it the one that slides in and rests against the cutting blade?

Thanks.
