There was a conversation about seam slippage quite awhile ago here. It
seems to me that the factory either didn't let it hang, didn't use wide
enough seam allowances, or both. There could be many other things that made
it do this. Its too bad you had that happen.
I bought a bias cut skirt about four years ago and wore it alot, it didn't
fall apart but the print was out of fashion, so I took it apart and used it
to make a pattern for more skirts. I think I added about 1/2" to each seam
and took about 1" from the hem and it worked ok.
