I once had issues with a Malden Mills fabric - might have been a
particular Power-dry. It just would not sew. I happened to stretch it
slightly, and all of a sudden it behaved. There didn't seem to be room
in the weave for the needle to penetrate. Holding it stretched slightly
under the presser foot was the miracle cure.
