I just have 'Kate Dicey, Dress and Costumer Maker' on my cards. There's
a little more in my ad in the Yellow Pages, but not a lot. I don't have
a big list of what I do as it allows me to be flexible about the
commissions I accept.

The cards have my name, contact numbers and address on them. I find it
useful to carry them with me to hand to enquirers. For events (craft
fairs and the like) I print up leaflets to hand out, with a few more
details and sometimes a picture or two. I can tailor (!) the pix to
suit the event. :)

Best of luck, Larisa! Don't accept too many commissions - you don't
want to end up as a stressed pickle! And do make sure you have your
work space sorted!

SHeesh Kate, you take all the fun out of by making that last statement!
SHeesh...lol. Actually, as soon as I get the all clear on my wrist, I
am rearranging the sewing space again - will make it more open and will
allow me to do fittings in that room instead of having to trek down the
hall to the bathroom (better than in NY where the only space I had was
the laundry room!!). Also, I was going to ask if I could use your
contract as a template for my own....will that be okay with you??

Ha! Yer gotta do that! Sorry... ;) I also make sure that cats and
kids stay out of the work space, and that customer stuff is out of there
when I reconvene it as sleeping space for visitors. I try NOT to store
stuff in the work room, as that keeps the clutter down.

Course you can - but buzz me off the group as there are some updates to
the contract you might need - and I have a couple of bits of additional
advice yet to go on the How To page... It'll all be there next time I
update, but that might take a few days, given the state of things round
here.

LOL "interesting personality" I like that! Actually, the off kilter
bit came out of trying to figure out personalized license plates..."off
kltr" kltr are the initials for the family, amazingly enough in
chronological order..lol Then we tried to read it..of clutter?
ahHA..OFF KILTER!!! and since I quilt....well, there you go. PLus,
since I always seem to be juggling lots of things at once....it was
stated that only someone who was slightly off-kilter would take on
more...and there you have it. But thanks for the ideas!!

I like the Off Kilter Quilter bit, really. What if it was something like:

Larisa Lastname - Off Kilter Quilter, Custom Costumer, and Alterationist.

Or something like that, I don't know exactly what you do.

Whatever you end up putting on your cards, Best of Luck!
