Anyone got any tips for sewing buttonholes in very heavy fabric like coat
weight wool or artic fleece. I don't want zips

Yeah. You can make a bound buttonhole. It's a facing type of thing as
opposed to a stitched kind of thing.

You can also use Chinese frogs or toggles if your garment style will
lend itselt to that type of interpretation.

Thanks, I ha ve not done a bound one for years, will try some samples as the
thick fabric is not responding only with a very stiff interfacing inbetween
the fabric and the interfacing which is not exactly what I wanted and will
look out for some navy frogs but they are hard to get in UK
