Several years ago someone asked why her dress with a set in sleeve
hiked up when she raised her arms. I printed the replies she got and
now I am unable to find them. Someone recommended a book that fully
explains the way armseyes and sleeves are drafted and meant to fit.
I have this problem whenever I sew something with a set in sleeve.
Everything looks fine when my arms are down. but when I raise my arms
the entire dress hikes up. Dresses, shirts, tops, jackets , they all
hike up. What causes this and how would I alter the pattern. This is
the only fitting problem I have not been able to resolve. I will be
mighty greatful if someone can help. Jean

The latest issue of Threads magazine has a very good article on
sleeve-fitting.
