I live in Atlanta, GA and am trying to find someone to teach me basic hand
sewing (this is all new to me). I became interested when I picked up the
Alabama Stitch Book. Does anyone know of any instructors in Atlanta?
Thanks!

Hello, Linda. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm the moderator of

the future, you must first make application to me via email. Thank
you. :-)

Try a local fabric store for an instructor referral. There are
usually bulletin boards up in the fabric stores that have business
cards for folks in the area that sew professionally and/or give
lessons. If you don't see a board, ask one of the clerks. Sometimes
they even sew for hire, or give lessons on the side. If they don't,
they will most likely know someone who can help you.

Also, look for a copy of the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to
Sewing. There are several editions out. I have a couple. Both of them
have really good hand stitch directions (with pictures.)
