i think Simplicity had a couple patterns for big brim hats. i
wasn't at all impressed with Butterick. too 'crafty' looking.
haven't looked at Vogue yet.

You may find something among the "Vogue Vintage" patterns

McCall's 3044 has a wide brimmed hat, but is shown with the brim folded up.
I have made the smaller brimmed version, I, also shown folded up, but I wear
it folded down. You will probabley need something to stiffen the brim.
Timex is real popular now to make the fabric bowls. That should work. Or
there is a version that has a fusible built in. Not sure if it is a Timex
or some other brand. Just ask for stiffener for fabric bowls and you should
be all set. Multiple rows of top stitching might do, but depends on the
fabric you choose and how floppy it is.

How about:
Vogue 8051, 7918, 7888, 7784, 7600
Butterick 4472, 3787
McCalls 3987, 3625
Simplicity 5242
All have wide-brimmed versions, varying crown shapes.
