I need all the help I can get on locating a source for the bra top
foundations and also the beading and sequin appliques. My daughter is
spending a fortune on outfits and I know I could make one if I could
locate the materieals. I was told a regular bra could be covered but
it does not look like a professional costume.

I know I have found stuff on how to make belly dance costumes when I
have done Google searches for other things, so I'm sure there are places
out there on the web. I have even seen patterns and such for sale. I
don't have any web sites, but I'm sure you can Google some up yourself
-- if you want some hints on how to find them, just let me know.

Many years ago my brother was dating a belly dancer. She bought cheap bras
and spent hours covering them with beads and sequins. They looked quite
professional when she was done. SHe bought her stuff from Diamonds in Miami
but I don't know if they are a chain. www.cheeptrims.com may have the stuff
you need. NAYY, but have used them many times and am very satisfied.

Have you looked anywhere? Googling for *bra sew pattern fabrics* brought up
lots of hits. Change it to *bra sew pattern fabrics "belly dance"* and
you'll get more specific information.
Beading and sequin appliques are available in their hundreds if not
thousands from Bombay Stores in Bradford.

Now Sally, behave! We all know how dangerous it is to send the unwary
into there - they'll come out laden and bankrupt! And don't forget all
the sari shops in Leeds and Bradford for the scrummy fabrics (in the
unlikely event that Bombay Stores don't have what she's after)
OTOH the OP might have got more specific replies if (again) she'd given
us a clue where she is - like, which continent?
