hi ladies... ive come to this wonderful forum in search of my sewing
machine hehehe. ive got this machine and i cant find out what it is and
if it is decent and worth fixing.

there is a picture of one that looks identical online and it doesnt have a
dressmaker label on it. and they are saying it is a jcpenney.

here is what it says on the machine:

Free Arm sewing machine
model# 6912
catalog# 868-4102
1 amp 90- watts
Dressmaker

i just want to know if its a sturdy worthwhile machine to fix, it has a
broken part...

thanks in advance!
sheila

I did not find anything. I am a sewing machine professional and it look to
be one of the models I suggested. If you look on the machine somewhere there
will be a model number and it will likely be one of the 2 I mentioned.

It is very similar to this one of Kates

http://www.diceyhome.free-online.co.uk/KatePages/Resources/machinegallery/viscount.jpg

All I can tell about this one is that it was made in Taiwan. Obviously
the Viscount 2000 and Dressmaker labels are just badges added on to a
generic product.
