it uses a fixed front waistband & buttonhole elastic for the
back waist. these things are my saviour when making trousers
for my 6 year old, with a size 4 waist & size 6 height...on
bought size 6 trousers, i have to pull in the elastic to the
6th or 7th buttonhole on each side... when pulling it in that
much, it helps to fold the elastic back & also button through
the first buttonhole.
