I sewed 2 patches together last night in backstitch
I found it very relaxing and time flew,
then I made a loveheart, I half blue one half white, and sewed it on as
a patch
on an old pair of jeans with a hole in them...
the Blue and White represents Blackburn Rovers
and it may catch on...

Son James is an Arsenal fan: I can see him doing a Gunners quilt! :)

tell him I will do him a Gunners quilt Kate!
I'll try and get it done by the time of the Carling Cup Final
when it should be Rovers v Arsenal, as long as the Gunners beat Wigan
and Rovers beat Man Utd
I will present it to him on the pitch at the Millenium Stadium before
the kick-off as a Peace Offering between Clubs and Fans
I have set up a page for you all to bookmark
www.trumpet-tv.co.uk/sewing/
the possibilities are endless ;-)

I think that might be a possibility, if tickets are available and time
is too! Auntie Mo Next Door is also a Gunners fan, so I shall see what
we can do, as she'd also love the treat! :) Thank you so much for the
thought, even if we never manage to work out the logistics.
James is a little skeptical about Rover's chances, but we shall see -
giant-killers are all the rage and million to one chances always come up
trumps! ;) Fingers are crossed - if you haven't any to spare from the
sewing, extra fingers can be provided!
I just LOVE having an 11 YO! He was a fantastic baby (generally good,
and people stopped me in the street to say how gorgeous he was!), and a
highly entertaining toddler, and great as a little boy... But I'm a
secondary teacher in remission, and having him at last in my teaching
age group is wonderful! People keep warning me about the Teen Years,
but believe me - I've seen it all, from angelic to asperger's syndrome,
magical to moody... As a friend once put it: the crash between exams
and hormones can be a tough one!

I left my adolescent outbursts until after my Dad passed away when I
was aged 30 ;-)
I would have to charge for cost of materials, but my labour costs would
be minimal
being a labour of love for football and fans in general who make most
of the game...
