current commercial patterns are not to be trusted.

One article details how to check and see it a pattern is
usable -- not only size issues, but matters such as mismatched
lengths on pieces.

The back cover is a current fabric offering still, but interesting
(natural color cotton)

I'm not thrilled with this one. It's good to have one
recent issue around for the ads, though.

That article was written by my friend Judy Barlup, and it's excellent.
But reading it made my eyes glaze over, and made me remember anew why,
for the past 6-7 years, I have been using patterndrafting software
INSTEAD of commercial patterns!

Not to you, nor to me, but I don't recall seeing
an article explicitly on the subject in a sewing
magazine.
