Hey All,
I saw an ottoman like this:
http://www.horchow.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=cprod32480253&ecid=HCSXYsearch_submit
Saw it a while back. Thought it was darling!! It just looks like a stack
of pillows. But they are all attached to each other and there is a stool
base under there. I'm thinking plywood box in the middle. Any thoughts on
how to do the "pillows?" I've been pondering a few ways to do it, but I'm
just not sure. It may come down to just "playing" with a few things.
I thought someone might have an idea so simple I'd slap myself upside the
head. lol
TIA!

Maybe paint the plywood box the color of the couch then
circle the box with pillows (hold them together with a clothes peg until
you get it all just right.) Maybe use 2 or more pillows on top-----again
fasten it all with clothes pins until everything looks OK. Then hand tack
it all together. Then you could just slip it off and back onto the middle
box when they need washing. If you have a lid on the plywood box, it would
make good storage space. The pillows would act like a padded dust cover.

Make sure that your under cushion is very very STIFF ,,, it should
hold it all in a good sitting position ,,, `holes` hurt your back !!!!

This is so cute! I would make a box only 3 pillows high. Then make 3 square
doughnuts. Tack them together in the middle. Leave a small hole in each of
the 4 sides of each doughnut for stuffing. Then make a regular pillow with a
sturdy pillow form for the top and tack it to the others. Slip it over the
box. There ya go!
This would be great made out of bright colors to hold extra toys in a
playroom. (just a thought)

Great suggestion, Barbara, thanks! I've been pondering this one for a
while. lol My DMIL and I actually saw one at the furniture store. (It's
really, really cute, but it's not $400 cute.) I liked the pillow on top
and tried to pick it up. That's how we figured out it was an ottoman!!
lol
