My pants are too long....because long long ago pants came in two
parts..one for each leg...just like we wear a PAIR of
pantyhose.....at one time nylon stockings came in pairs.....some
genius decided to attach them to make them into 1 item, but they are
still a pair, now a pair of scissors, a pair of glasses, ..hmmm
probably the same thing....would make a good research project when
school starts up again :-)

can probably get a hefty chunk of change to study this linguistic peculiarity.
Just don't ask Unka for any grocery money.

It's lovely to be back communing with all my sewing friends. I'm
reading past posts, trying to get up to speed on everyone's
projects.Thank you for the warm welcome; I plan on 'hanging out' with
you folks and enjoying every minute of it.
My sewing room was in dire need of a purge, so have been sorting and
boxing. Craft stuff has gone to storage, and now there is a bank of
machines under the front window. It's like having a whole new playroom.
DS brought me a desk & bookshelves, a new bed and dressers, and I
found a computer at a yard sale, had it purged and updated, so I'm good
to go. I've filled all the empty spaces left by greedguy when he
departed. I'm equipped at a bargain price. Love those yard sales!
Hugs to All
