Thank you, Beverly. It was especially frustrating since I have SEWING I
could be doing!!! *sigh* I am getting ready (today darn it!!!!) to start
on an outfit for me. We have a "mixer" to go to with the car club DH
belongs to. I asked what do I wear to that??? "uh......casual. I think
casual." OK. That covers a lot of ground. I'm going jersey. Jersey can
do casual, but not too casual in case this crowd of people I don't know
show/hide quoted text
dress up more for this thing. ARGH!! <pasting on patient smile> I'm sure
it will be fine......
I hate when jeans mfg. do that. And why right now when people are starting
to do holiday shopping? What a PITA....almost literally. lol

One would think that having gained the advanced age of 70,
one would be over getting nervous about "what to wear" to
social functions. I'm here to tell you it doesn't happen.
When I packed for Nashville, one of the functions was a
"dressy dinner". That one outfit out of all I packed gave
me the most angst.

It would almost have been better had they been too small! I
am getting smaller, I've lost 20 pounds since the middle of
the summer. I know we as a people (we Americans that is)
are moslty all getting bigger/wider but really! Size
deflation was stupid, but now they make the identical size
from a couple of months ago bigger yet.
Beverly, finally done with flooring, painting, plumbing and
electrical, so NOW I'll sew! ;-)

Yay! I too hope to sew today. With me it was lack of energy rather
than distractions.

My sewing will be for some new throw pillows for my newly
decorated living room. Then maybe a flashy outfit for the
holidays. ;-)

From what I understand, with KOHL's rapid expansion, and their popularity,
JCP is moving out of malls and in small shopping centers; or in the case
here, not even in a shopping center. It stands alone near a movie theater
and several nice restaurants. Granted it is a smaller store, but is
well-stocked with most standard items, except women's slips. I went there
to buy a couple this summer and amazingly, not a one in the store.
The clerk said they didn't stock them because "nobody buys them anymore."
So I had to order as in the past, they carry a full line in the online
catalog.
