Help, please. I'd like to find a top pattern that was popular in the
60s-70s. The back and front are sewn together at the sides, and a necklace
or chain is threaded through the seam at the neckline instead of a shoulder
seam. I've looked at all the usual online sites and can not find it.
My eldest DGD has developed a love for vintage clothing and I've made some
for her, and thought this would be a perfect top for the FL holidays.. I
have some pearls to use with it.
Thanks for your help. Emily

Is it like a camisole tank top?? Would one of those work or is it more like
a peasant top?

Would any of these work, with some alteration (just omit the straps and use
the pearls instead) www.simplicity.com

I hope that helps.

Thanks Sharon, I will check those out and if it's one of them, I will tell
you. However, I hadn't mentioned it to DD, whose daughter wants one until
today. She said she has my original. I wondered where it had gone, but
makes sense because she was the one who loved the style and I'd made her
several when she was in school. Anyway, this weekend, they're taking the
older son to college in D.C. and next week, she'll return my pattern or a
copy. I don't mind getting the copy because it's going to stay in the
family any way.

Oh good!!!! I'm glad she had it and I'm glad the pattern is going to come
home to roost. ;)
