Sew the chiffon and middle layer separately to the bottom of the zip.
Clip the CHIFFON layer ONLY and turn the seam allowances in with the
middle layer. Sew the two as one, then sew the lining in as normal.
You can use a tiny drop of Fray Stop at the clip to stop the chiffon
ravelling...
Personally, I'd use a concealed zip and sew the mid layer and chiffon as
one to the end of that, clip the chiffon to separate it from the mid
layer at the end of the zip, and sew the mid and chiffon seams
separately. The lining still goes in the same as usual.
