Hi I was given a singer model 6235, I have tried and tried to figure out
how to thread the bobbin to no avail. Is there anyone out there who can
help me, in plain simple terms, please. I didn not get an instruction
booklet with it, I think maybe the bobbin holder is in wrong too, help,
please, Mary

This problem has been brought up many times and the answer is to do a web
search for Singer machines. There are many sites that sell manuals and
sometimes, give instructions.

I have had and still have many Singers, but am not familiar with this
number.

I didn't see the original post (sewgirls.com?).

A manual is necessary for *everything* to do with a sewing
machine, from threading, to tension adjustments, to special
features, to proper maintenance. OP should invest in one:

Best $10.00 he/she will spend, IMHO.

My spare machine is a 6267.....it might be similar. Do your bobbins have a
spring in the center and no hole? If so, this may help.

Here's how to wind a bobbin:
http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin_wind.html

Take a look at these two pages on Singer bobbins:
http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin_front_load.html
and http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin_top.html

Choose the instructions that match your machine.

When you've loaded the bobbin, you have to raise the bobbin thread:
http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin.html

Here's where you buy a copy of the manual -- yes, you want it:
