Yes, I guessed that it was quiet but not even this conversation is
arriving on my newsreader. I am reading what you are all saying on
google and replying via thunderbird. Thunderbird has served me very well
for several years until now.

Check your blocked senders and message rules (or whatever
they are called in Thunderbird). You may have inadvertently
added a rule lately that is causing the problem.
If you have Outlook Express, fire it up and see if the
newsgroups display?

They're called "filters," Beverly. I was going to suggest
resubscribing, too. Maybe she got unsubscribed somehow.

Thanks, I knew there had to be a better name than "rules".
I use Firefox for my browser, but haven't felt the need to
install Thunderbird, yet.
I also think re-subscribing to the newsgroups is a good
idea. Occasionally, I accidentally delete an entire group.
It's lots of fun waiting for 10,000 messages to download.

*Ick!!!* Can't you set the number you want downloaded? T-bird will
let you download 100 at a time.
