I have been working on new product ideas for my little business and
have polled some of my mom friends - those that like handmade items
and/or shop craft fairs and Etsy. I've come up with some ideas that
will actually allow me to NOT purchase too much in additional fabrics
(they are all scrap-based, or I can use up some of the fabric that I
have stashed in bins....either under apparel fabrics or quilting
fabrics). That's my first yippie moment in a long time...lol

On the actual sewing front, I've made a simple little a-line dress for
my daughter out of a bright floral print - large Gerbera daisies on a
block background...both flowers and blocks in almost neon shades of
blue, orange, yellow, green, and pink. I thought it would be too much
for such a tiny girl, but she looked adorable in it and got
compliments when she wore it to church. I'm in a holding pattern on
my patchwork jacket - have to actually cut the lining pieces and get
them together, but the main body is finished. I guess I just got
tired of working around the different thicknesses of trims. Hopefully
I will get back on track with that next week.

The next projects have been decided: Power Puff Girl pajamas for my
daughter, Apple print apron for the county fair (with a matching one
for a child to be made later....this is one of the new product lines),
new dress for myself.....after these, I don't know what I will work on
next.

So....other then the spammers and trashy people, is anyone else
actually reading this group???

Could someone squeeze another day in the week do you think just for me
alone?
I swear I will use it nicley and return it later when I've finished with it.

Claire, may I be first in line for your extra day after you
are done with it? I've been searching for one for years!

Of course, hand it round and it might just come back again. An extra
day is always top of my father christmas list of prefered presents every
year so far no joy but you never know.
