Ugh.....sewing derailed by major migraine. Yesterday was an
interesting day - tried to put the textured paint up in the garage and
ended up wearing the same amount as was on the wall....lesson
learned....no textured paint for me unless I'm in full hazmat
suit...lol.

Worked with the children on decorated baskets today - another entry
for the county fair - and they each had very specific ideas of what
they wanted. DD found a green wire basket and it is now "dressed" in
a lime green tulle fairy skirt (think Tinkerbell) with loops of
iridescent ribbon hanging down, and little white bows on the "petals"
of the skirt....yes, she wanted a fair princess basket. All that is
left to add, according to DD is the tops of the princess wands that we
broke off....to use the whole wand would have been a bit much...lol.

DS decided on a camouflage/military themed basket and started covering
the one he found (black heavy paper-like basket) with the fabric
today. Fabric has been partially trimmed down, and he is working on
drafting how he wants the "little green army men" to be on the
basket. He is convinced that there should be some looking down into
the basket where there should be an all out war going on. I have
asked him how it could be used as a basket if the entire thing is
filled with plastic people....we'll keep working on this.

While they debated, I made some more flower pens...not sure if they
will sell or not, but they are so easy to make that they are becoming
my new "busy hands" item....which I'm enjoying more than beading.

Ok, with luck I can dig up the lining fabric for the jacket and get
the pieces cut and marked....of for something easy depends on if the
headache goes away)..I can start working on one of the aprons.

Larisa, of the too many things, not enough time

I think there are times we could all use an extra day in the week.
LOL,

I have also been making some progress in using up stash.
Doesn't prevent me from buying new fabric, though... ;-}

Beverly -

I will most definitely post pictures when I get the patchwork jacket
done. Funny little jacket, this is turning out to be. I made the
size based on my measurements, and it is HUGE!!! It's also quite a
bit brighter than I was planning (I had extra fabric from my paisley
"thistle" skirt, so that is the main fabric, with bits of fabrics in
colors pulled from the paisley). I'm thinking it will be great in the
winter, over a sweater and turtleneck - not too heavy, but a nice
layer piece. AND...as bright as it is, it should help ward off the
seasonal depression...lol.

I am hoping that, after the veg-out visit to walk through a couple of
local stores and the grocery run, I will be motivated to get back to
work on it. However, I will make myself iron 2 of DHs shirts first -
I left them in the dryer too long, so it's my fault that I have to
iron them...phooey...lol
