Hi,
does anyone know how to align the
needle post in a Singer 500 Rocketeer?
Mine is misaligned such that it touches
the hook with every stitch.
Zing, zing, zing, zing, zing, zing, zing,
zing, zing, zing, zing, zing, zing...
Thanks!

First, have you checked that it isn't just a bent needle?

If you've checked that the needle itself isn't bent, it might be worth
taking it in to have it looked at. If you've broken a needle recently the
needle bar may be bent. If that's the case no amount of fiddling with the
needle will get it straight.

The pendulum swing adjustment is via the two large screws on the
backside of the machine, just behind the take up lever. O
