The Fat Man is making his list...what's on your Christmas To-Do
Project agenda, and how far along are you? I only bring this up now
because summer went by at warp speed. I'm not sure if this is a
'getting older' thing, or if Time really has speeded up. I suspect the
latter.
Me, I'm getting over a bronchitis/viral thing, and wondering where
the summer went. If anyone has seen my vacation, please tag it and send
it to me--in my imagination, it looks like two weeks on Bora-Bora, in a
hut built over clear turquoise water. I saw a show on this place where
they canoed up to the hut with your din-din.(They used a real canoe,
not a kayak). Works for me.
Well, back to the tag line: some people may not even get coal this
year, they are so far out of grace. The rest of my list requires
mailing, which fees have gotten ungodly, so last year, I sent gift
certificates. Less money on postage=more money for gifts.
The exception to this are always the GBebes, who get piles of nice
Gmama produced clothes. I'm thinking of making a trunk full of dress-up
things, since the GBs are all hams.
Last year I sent them a karioke machine, with mike, cameras, etc. It
was a smash hit, so costumes would be a complement.
That's all I know, which ain't much. Happy sewing.
Cea

It sounds like an exciting project, both to sew and to make! :)

Cea - Be sure to include lots of scarves - better known as rectangles of
fabric - to be used as capes, turbans, sarongs, harem pants, etc. Fuels
their imaginations!!!

Hey Cea, I think my summer and your summer must have taken a vacation
together. Do you suppose we'll get double our vacation next year? Or
that they'll be deliriously happy and produce a whole flock of little
vacations?

Anyhow, I thought I'd remind folks of the fixed-price US Priority mailing
boxes. All you can cram into a "sweater-sized" cardboard box (obtainable
from them for free) for about $8. The lady at the PO shakes her head
when I bring a box in for mailing, as she swears I'm sending lead bricks --
the last one would have cost $26 first class, and almost that much parcel
post.

(The only reason I'm mentioning this old news is that my aunt had never
heard of it and called to yell at me for spending so much on postage when
I sent her a shipment of chocolate. Guess she didn't look at the postage
actually on the box.)

Kay you may send your excess chocolates to me, I *promise* I
won't yell at you! ;-)
