Your unassailable certitude of moral superiority is intact, yet your

You'd probably get better co-operation if you lost the snippy
"Wandering along the edges of rec.crafts.textiles.sewing, I found
the following bit of electronic flotsam written by..." bit. Your
choice of course, but folks usually aren't flattered by having
their response called "flotsam".
