Wow, that brings back memories! I made my DH a tailored
three-piece suit in the early 80s. I bought several books on
*real* tailoring, as I had never done a man's suit before, the
difference in constructing a man's suit and a woman's is very
different. I was intrigued by all the hand padding stitches it
took.
Have you attempted pants yet (welt pockets, and that special
waistband)? ;-)
Congratulations, your jacket looks wonderful.

Actually, I have and it is really fun and satisfying. Another learning
experience which does not make much sense at first. I have only used
rummage sale fabric that Marilyn finds now and then. Not sure that
homespun would make a wearable pair of pants.
