I cannot for the life of me get the yellow thread guide theat you puch
up under the feed dogs to catch. Is there a trick to this. Please
send help!! Going nuts in Canada!!

---OK, I'll bite. I'll start by assuming that he Pfaff serger threads
like most sergers do.
Try re-threading completely. Re-read your manual.first, to see if
you're missing some small step. Check both spool end and stand to be
sure thread isn't hanging up on something. Change the offending
thread--swap the spool out for a fresh one. Sometimes I've gotten a
hinky new spool.
Usually you start threading with the loopers, saving the needle
threads for last. I thread with the feed dogs up, just like a reg.
sewing machine, so that the tension discs stay open to receive the
threads. Once you have the machine threaded, pull all of the threads to
the left, under the feed dogs.
Now, don't stomp on the foot pedal---try turning the handwheel to
'proof' your threading. Watch the action of the loopers to see if they
are in sync with the needles---you may have pulled the timing off, and
the threads may not be meshing with the needle action. It helps if you
think of it as a kniitting action--in slow-mo, that's what it looks
like.
If everything looks fine, except that one pesky thread on the yellow
guide, Take a break. Quit. Come back tomorrow, chances are, your serger
will have rested up, and will be over it's malaise.

Cea, I think you mean: "pull the threads to the left, under the
*presser foot*". I know on my sergers, I wouldn't want to try pulling
the threads under the "feed dogs". ;-}
