Thanks, Val, me and Irene; the weather probably has something to do with it.
At least, the Houston area has clear, blue skies and sunshine today for a
big change; I believe this is the 2nd-3rd day since Christmas, we haven't
had rain. Oh well, it is winter and spring will be here soon.

We have a beautiful sunny day here too, FINALLY. It's pretty cold out but
I've been stretched out on the couch, the cat snoozing in my lap and I've
been working on hand embroidery projects. A very nice "laid back day". The
way I sit I face out to see my bird feeders, they've been full and busy for
hours, and the sun is coming through the window and it feels nice and warm
on our(mine and the cat's) old bones. Old movies on cable, snoozing cat,
hand sewing, warm sun, life is good :)

Where do you live, Val? I am so allergic to cats & most pets, though I wish
I weren't. Do you know you're the 2nd person this week that has told me
they are hand embroidering, which is something I loved doing years ago. I'm
not certain now if my fingers could do it anymore. Now that I think about
it, I have some dish towel stamp-ons, I might try it now that DS is going to
be out of town next week.
Thanks for reminding me again about it.

I'm in Seattle. I keep a basket of embroidery by my end of the couch. I do a
lot of dishtowels and pillow cases for gifts. The main problem is, people
are afraid to use them. There are days when I just can't stand to hold a
needle but I just don't force it. I embroider when I can, sometimes just a
few minutes at a time, sometimes, like today, for hours on end. I find it
very relaxing.

I went to Everett for Thanksgiving weekend once and I must say the area is
beautiful country. Hopefully one day, I'll get to spend more time there.
