Noreen, that is not nice! ;)
I have been very lucky finding needles at yard sale, flea markets etc. I
have a circular set that my mother gave me. I thought I had all the needles
I could ever want. Now you tell me about 9 inch circulars just when I have
decided I am going to concentrate on knitting socks for awhile. I am going
to try hard to ignore your post. ;)

Oh well, at least I now have suggestions when my family wants to know what
gifts to get me for birthdays etc.

I use what's needed where and when, but these 9inch circulars are *so* handy,
especially when DPN's just aren't "practical"...

How are they to work with? I usually find short circulars to be very
unwieldy. I tried using 16-inch circs for a hat and didn't enjoy the
knitting at all.
