About a month ago someone very kindly sent me instructions on how I might
possibly be able to unearth a link to my old website through some other
site.... do you think I can find that information today? Nooooo! I just
looked through all my old emails and can't find that particular one with the
step-by-step on where to go and how to do it (no comments from the peanut
gallery, Noreen! LOL)... and I normally hold on to old emails for a VERY
long time, just in case I need something from them... it's a packrat's
trick. ;o)

Anyway... could whoever was kind enough to give me the run-down on how to do
it before, PLEASE email it to me again... and I promise NOT to lose it this
time. I just want to see if I really can dig up my old website to have a
look around again. ;o)

I suggested to you that you go to http://www.archive.org/

Enter your old URL into the WayBackMachine. See what it finds.

Thank you, Jane! :o) I just tried and it couldn't find the old website.
:o/ Of course xoom had been taken over by nbci, and now apparently there
are no private websites through them anyway. :o/

Oh well.... a friend of mine (teenage boy who used to come to my IRC chat
channel, in fact) zipped my website and sent it to me a long time ago. Now
to hope that I actually managed to save it to a disk before the old computer
died completely. If so, at least I'll have the base of it to start it up
again on a different site sometime. If not... looks like I'll have to start
from scratch and hope for the best.

Thank you again... I'm sure that URL will come in handy for looking up other
sites. I am forwarding it to my email now... and storing it in a SAFE
folder so I don't lose it again. ;o)
