Hi group:
Turns out my granddaughter gave me more than a cold. I have viral pinkeye.
I picked up some Polysporin eye & ear drops after spending some quality
time(snicker) at the walk-in clinic to be told what my daughter already knew
(laugh). The doctor was very nice, even checked my ears, nose & throat as
well.
While waiting, I got a good chunk of a sock done, as well as having a nice
chat with the lady next to me. Whenever you think your life is bad, all you
have to do is talk to someone else. She has Crohn's - I have a very good
life in comparison to hers. However, she wasn't complaining - we were just
passing the time talking about waiting in clinics.

I'm sorry that you have such an infliction, Shelagh... but at least you do
know what it is now, and have something for it... so that's half the battle
won. :o)
Oh no, that poor lady with Crohn's! There is a young lady (26 or 27) here
in town who has that. I remember seeing her grow up... so sweet and shy...
she still is. She had a fiance' for a while, but her mother told me that
when he found out what she has he broke up with her because he doesn't want
to have to deal with it. Awww, poor him... I'm sure that SHE doesn't want
to deal with it either, but she has no choice in the matter.
--
I was in the hospital today (just to have my right elbow x-rayed... more
about that in a second) and while I was in the waiting room there was a
young lady there with three small children under the age of five. The
little girl (toddler) in her lap had to have her finger x-rayed because the
oldest boy had accidentally shut the door on her hand and jammed her finger
in it. The second boy was *very* rambunctious and running around, the
little girl would scream and cry in pain every so often, and the oldest boy
just sat quietly and looking upset when the little girl would scream and cry
in pain. While watching this young lady with her three tiny children... I
did not envy her at all, having to handle all of that. One elderly man was
a bit annoyed by it all, but everyone else was very understanding and
pleasant with the lady and her children, trying to entertain the little ones
a bit while they waited their turn.
--
As for my right elbow... it's been killing me for the last three months, but
my doctor thought it might just be the Fibromyalgia, so we did nothing about
it. While at my doctor's appointment this morning I finally asked him today
to PLEASE send me to a bone specialist to see if he might figure out what it
was. It feels like a knife being driven into the outer part of my elbow
(kind of between two bones), and the pain (and heat) radiates down toward my
the back and outside edge of my wrist. My doctor ordered x-rays (and a copy
to the specialist) because he said the specialist wouldn't see me if it
hadn't been done first. So now I wait. *shrug*
*hugs*

Hi Gemini,
Oh my, how in the world did you stand the pain for three months? Lets
pray that the x-rays show something is wrong. Let us know when you find
out.
Hugs and Prayers,
Nora

*shrug* I just dealt with it the best I could... like I said, we thought it
might have just been my Fibromyalgia throwing something else at me.
Most times it was *mildly* bearable, but there were times when the pain was
so bad it made my stomach churn (and I have enough stomach problems at
times). If I rest my wrist and lower arm on my leg it doesn't hurt quite as
much, so that is the way I drive... using only my left hand to steer except
when turning a corner. Of course being right-handed doen't help. I often
forget what I'm doing and reach (without thinking about it) for something
with my right hand... before I realize it I have picked it up and almost
dropped it because the pain shoots through my elbow.
Yes, even though I really don't want more things to be wrong, I will be
relieved if they actually find something so they can do what needs to be
done to fix it. I will let you know as soon as I know.
*hugs*

Hi Shelagh,
Another thing that will help clear it up.get you some boric acid ,it s in
the pharmacy area ,mix some boric acid in some warm water take a wash cloth.
get it wet with the water and lay it over your eyes, it will help soothe
your eyes and help clear the pink eye.
take care.Stella
