Congratulations, Hesira. As I remember, this is the pattern you first
attempted with another yarn. Although it's hard to admit defeat, I think
you make the right choice by choosing a different yarn.

Yes, Jan, it is the one I was trying with Douceur et Soie, but not only
was I trying lace for the first time, and using unfroggable yarn, I was
trying to double the motif to make it wider. Talk about biting off
more than you can chew! I was going to make this scarf one way or
another! Now that I'm more familiar with the pattern, I may try to
double it in the future.

Hurrah! You have inspired me. I started doing this one once on #8s and
got discouraged. I wasn't using bamboo or wooden needles, which I
think would have helped. Yours is beautiful - it more than passes the
galloping horse test. Congratulations.
